THE STORY
CHALK started with a simple observation in a Cleveland barbershop.
Co-founder Myles Mendeszoon — a former D1 football player at Iowa State University — noticed something while spending time in barbershops: clients would talk nonstop about the designer colognes they loved. Tom Ford. Creed. Baccarat Rouge. But he also watched them drop $300-400 on those bottles, then flinch when cheap aftershave hit their freshly shaved skin.
The question was obvious: why doesn't someone make a product that smells like the designers but is actually built for your skin?
So Myles teamed up with Jacob Maher and Joe Cyvas, and together the three of them built CHALK from the ground up — a line of designer-inspired fragrances that double as aftershave, made right here in Ohio.

WHY WE'RE DIFFERENT
There are plenty of fragrance inspired-by brands out there — Dossier, Oakcha, ALT. They all do the same thing: match the scent and sell it cheaper. That's fine. But that's all they do.
CHALK goes further. Every bottle is formulated to work as both a cologne and an aftershave. Spray it on after a shave and instead of burning, it soothes. Instead of drying your skin out, it hydrates. One product replaces two — and it costs $14.99.
